Possession

by Weeping Wolf   Sep 25, 2006

Gone are the days of my chains
when only risk was holding me back
three years from that fateful day
i fought so hard for my freedom
and against all odds, i survived.

I am no ones possession
I am not a prize to be won
I will never be enslaved
Forever as a free spirit I run...

But now a storm of deception comes
Harsh words of accusation stab me
How dare they say I am trapped
For no one is my master, never
will I be caged, hunted, or owned
I need no sanctuary, shelter or home.

I am no ones possession
I am not a prize to be won
I will never be enslaved
Forever as a free spirit I run...

Looking deep and dreadful into their eyes
I conquer over their righteous opinions
For nothing matters more to me than freedom
The feeling deeper than pain, love or hate.

For i am no ones possession
I am not a prize to be won
I will never be enslaved
Forever free...i will run...

Beautiful penned once again you potray here....."Nothing served up on a silver spoon, But always being promised the moon, Not all have a roof over head, Or even a comfortable bed, Being forced to live in a tent, Battlers' life resembles a quagmire, It is them one must admire, No matter what the obstacle, they never stop, That is why a battler, always ends up on top....what else i can say....well done! take care... bert ~
