Submit to beauty

by katie!   Sep 25, 2006

The pen scratches the paper, and the ink flows gently through
Tales which were forgotten, of dreams, of love, of you
When the days grow older and the sun kisses the sky
I let the wind caress me, As my body starts to cry

Shelter from the ages, in a lovers sweet embrace
Decisions do not matter if they are made in haste
Choose for your heart, though sometimes it brings pain
Allow the sea to cleanse you each time you sin again

I used to be a dreamer, living life above the clouds
Where the world is secluded, and silence is loud
Where realites alter daily, changing as the dove
The snowflakes brush gently on the arms of my love

Today is no event, no holiday for anyone
The grey skies bring rainclouds, no sign of the sun
And yet today in my heart, is a day I know well
As I submit myself to beauty, and start many tales to tell

I think in the first stanza 3rd line you may have meant

When the days grow older and the sun kisses the sky

but I may be wrong ...or just a little crazy.....lol

Thank-you for sharing your poetry once again Katie . Amazing talent , dear girl .
