The Unlikely Outcast

by LadyPearl   Sep 25, 2006

Feeling dead down the halls
Easing past all fears
Hands upon the barren walls
Drifting away from here

Like a ghost haunting school
invisible to the crowd
Judging all as infinite fools
As surroundings begin to shroud

Dignity strikes my face
Pride inscribed deep within
following my own pace
uncaring to everything

An outcast hunting the light
Numb to lost ordains
Not needing drama or delight
To carry out my many days

Words wrapped around my fingers
Smiling is but a want
My presence in here still lingers
As my dim reflection still taunt

*Try to find a deeper meaning in this poem, especially the last stanza. Tell me what you think.

Noni, that poem indeed have a deep meaning, but it was really hard to get the message. My thoughts on what the meaning is, compared to another reader would probably be different. I did have trouble finding meaning in the last stanza, but maybe I'm right? I don't know. Good poem though.
