Dad my best friend

My Dad left my life 24yrs ago,
And how it changed me so,
I always thought he'd be there,
For all my life to share.

When I realized he had gone,
I have never felt so alone,
Then one day I heard his voice,
Telling me it was not his choice.

God had called him away,
And in that he had no say,
I thought my life had came to an end,
But in my heart Dad "YOUR MY BEST FRIEND!
