Before the gun shot

by Holly   Sep 26, 2006

I gotta get out of here
leave the shattered glass on the ground
let my blood run cold
until peace i have found

i thought someone was home
before the gun shot
people were left inside alone
leaving my emptiness better off forgot

set me free of this game
pull the anchor from my head
because the picture wont seem the same
the image is now dead

because without you i am nothing
like a night without the moon
i need to void that something
better off later than too soon

The phone is ringing off the hook
or so it seems in my stomach
this is all my baby took
now the cradle is falling to its plummet

the homeless guy now has all the money
but is that going to really make him happy?
looks like the toast now has some honey
but really thats not what we need.
