Mirror, Betray Truth

by Sarah Ann   Sep 26, 2006

I don't want this disturbed image
Shown. Exposed to furnished finish
I don't want to see this mirror
Showing truth; becoming clearer

I don't want to feel the sorrow,
Or to spot futures, feel tomorrow
I don't want to find the other side
Alas the truth I still shall hide

I don't want the world to listen
With masks that shine and glisten
I don't want my mirror to speak
For mutely with them, I am weak

I don't want this fame to leave me
Pretending joy is now so easy
I don't want my life to pass me by
As lastly; truth has caught their eye
