The Bloody Wars

by Lizzy   Sep 26, 2006

The day that I signed that sheet,
The one that told us where to meet,
I signed my own waver,
No help from a Savior,
No Idea what we were to face,

This place...

A bloody field, one without end,
Marching soldiers around the bend.
Shots flying,
People dieing,
No end to the madness,
No end to this sadness.

When I signed that sheet,
I didn't realize it was covered in sleet,
Sleet of lies and betrayal,
One that led us to doom and fail.

They did not tell us about the gas,
That gas that can burn through glass.
The very air, death to us all,
While all around me I see men fall.
They did not tell us of the constant fight,
One that goes through day and night.

This long fight will never stop,
Until my body will finally drop.
And if I do survive this dream,
I will still wake up, hearing a scream.
This war, all wars that will call,
These bloody wars will be the death of us all...
