I'll get used to it

Last night the phone rang
I knew it was you
I didn't answer to talk
I remember the words you used

Last night the phone kept ringing
You knew i was asleep
you caused my heart to break
And these eyes to forever weep

Last night the phone was ringing
Until two oclock today
I kept begging to God
"Please take this pain away"

Last night the phone didn't stop
Until i answered the phone
I heard you listen to my voice
In in seconds you were gone

Last night the phone was quiet
For minutes i didn't count
Then it started ringing again
The rings were a miscount

Every time the phone rang
I knew tear would slide down
The face that once had a smile
Was now a frown

I answered again against my will
With a shakey voice "hello"
You took a deep breath then said
'I"m sorry i let you go"

and then he hung up
and that was all that was said
I cried to the pillow next to me
That's all i have left

So i cried that night
And many nights after
I remember the times
When i was happier

But i'm alone
A fact ill get used to
But i'll never get used to the fact
I dont' have you
