Always A Last Resort

Her heart filled with lies,
her ears had heard it all before.
He'd be sleeping with some other girl,
and she'd just let him push her to the side.
She hoped if she did this he'd love her more,
but he always seemed to put her as a last resort.
She wait up all night for him,
as her grades were low.
And she so called self-esteem was lower,
he came over one night.
She asked him am I the last resort today?
He just kind looked down with those sorry looks,
when he had been out late the night before.
She pulled out the gun from behind her back,
and slowly put the end to her head.
As she slowly pulled the trigger,
she said this is what I think about being you last resort.
And by the way,
I hope you know I was always in love with you.
As the bullet went through her head,
he said I love you too.
