Distant memory

by Rhiannon   Sep 27, 2006

I sit alone,
looking through that box,
I fumbled over that picture again.

Every time I see your face next to mine,
I go back,
the memories I hold dear,
the good and the bad,
and the shattering of my world.

Those three words spoken,
I love you,
were they true,
did you mean it at all?

I hear his name,
I turn around,
but he's no where to be found,
no longer in my dreams,
just a distant memory,
trying to fade away.
