Swan...

by Amanda Lynn   Sep 27, 2006

The delicate silver swan

all her life sang one note

until one day death approached

and unlocked her silent throat

she used to caress the wind

with her voice along the shore

now her last song is farewell to joys

and then she sung no more

I must no longer sing thier worth

Oh death come close my mouth and eyes

for more geese than swans now live

and now are more fools than wise
