Late Night Tragedy

Light Speckled Skies
he's down on both knees in the pouring rain
his head, bowed in silence
In a split second,
His whole world, taken from his grasp

If only she would've seen
Those bright lights
In a life shattering moment
Maybe she would've stayed.
Just a while longer

But it's too late,
Shes gone
No hope left for her
Shes beyond saving

He sees the mile long line
Of everyone who loved her
All those faces full of joy
They know shes with her heavenly father.

He knows she's safe in her father's arms,
But all he feels is the
Mile long wound on his heart

He doesn't want to lay her to rest
He can't even think of 'goodbye'

She knew of her fate,
And now she awaits for the day
She will come face to face
With her true love again
And when they run down the streets paved gold.
Hand in hand.
