Sowing stars in night skies
little and twinkle shine.
The union of what was and past the day
(and all that is was and will be)

Twinkle laughed and danced the
melodies of nights joy. Little is lulled
by the beat of what was her heart.
She wept little by little for night's sorrows

They expected for the summer for the always
but during the moon passed into snowing stills

played some games but only a few
they tried to guess but nobody knew

Twinkle and little stooped to kiss past the day
don't tell them why some sorrows are all and none
give them a song and a prayer should they ask
where is night's home (wind and rain)

Night sky and what was felt for a moment
when the possible how the doubt
cast twinkle and little into their forever
