The Castle

by *Charisma*   Sep 28, 2006

Ever had a dream so intense
You didn't know if you were asleep
This experience has happened
Far more than once to me

I'm in a long white gown
Upon a misty, dark rock shore
I look upon a castle there
And walk up to it's door

No one's answering when I knock
So I just walk inside
The halls are bear, but lights are on
I'm so mystified

It's beauty enchants me
I'm captured by it's great charm
And as I go in deeper
I'm not the least alarmed

So many rooms to explore
And all these things to see
Wish I didn't have to go
But am I still asleep?

I see a man up ahead
He stands there waiting for me
The prince who lives in this castle
I feel excited, so you see

I take his hand and around we go
He tells of his extraordinary home
How it once was far grander
But was abandoned and alone

It once held parties and balls
That lasted far into the night
But now it's filled with cobwebs
Dusty chairs and dim lights

He asks me to be his
And make this place a castle again
And when I go to give my answer
I find that I've awakened

"Ever had a dream so intense
You didn't know if you were asleep"

    A great start.
And the rest of the poem didn't disappoint.
    It was fab.
