Lost Little Girl .....

by lanie luvs u x3   Sep 28, 2006

I wish I was a little girl again,
Where nothing seemed to matter,
Everything was beautiful,
Even if it was torn, beaten, or battered,

My heart was full of mischief,
I wandered where I pleased,
Never caring if I were followed,
Or disregarded with a tease,

But the time of childhood passes,
Innocence and make-believing ends,
The life of troubling times appear,
Beginning with "Goodbye Imaginary Friends",

A part inside you dies,
A piece of you is lost,
But you desperately search to find it,
No matter what the cost,

And should you stop you listen,
There's a voice that you might hear,
The child inside your soul,
Is lost away in fear,

She's waiting for your return,
The one place you forgot to look,
That broken piece inside your heart,
Where your innocence was took,

Redeem yourself again,
Remember how to fly,
Open up your wings,
And soar beyond the sky,

Even if it's only,
Something that lives in your sleep,
The get away will always be there,
Somewhere way down deep.

I have no suggestions. I loved it the way it is. It's something I've often wanted to put in words and may now do because I feel inspired after reading this. So my only advice is....keep writing. You're great at it! Jpoet*

Y'know, I actually like it the way it is. You're probably seeing something I don't. Good luck with it.
