We sing and dance,
In heaven, on cloud nine.
A song so slow, the mood it sets,
And all the people couple off.
I stand in the middle of the dance floor,
Watching her sail away with her prince,
Watching him save her from dragons and despair.
And I wonder, is anyone out there for me?
Who will dance with me, and take me out
To the world away from our world,
Where nothing exists but me and him?
As I stand there and ponder,
A tap on my shoulder.
Turn, it is he,
The one I've had my eye on.
Him with me?
It's impossible!
Or so I thought,
As he swept me away,
I soon lost track of everything.
I couldn't think, I couldn't breathe.
All I could do was dance.
Dance. Dance.
People turned and stared,
But I didn't care.
In his arms, anything was possible,
But nothing could happen to me,
Because while I was in his arms,
I wasn't on earth.
I was somewhere far better, far more peaceful.
Because as we danced,
I was in heaven, on cloud nine,
And finally, he was mine.
