Little feet

by Mollie   Sep 29, 2006

You run to fill the step of mine,
your mind in fast motion all the time,
curious eyes roam the room,
some are hoping to see their mothers soon,
theres nothing more innocent
nothing so pure,
when your playing, caught in the moment.
I can't imagine how much you've learned,
in just a few minutes
while your parents are gone,
the effect that I have on you,
blows me away,
the time that we share seems to short of a day.
the reward of a teacher you will never know,
but I go home each day glad for what I've done.
your little feet,
little hands,
will one day grow
and take on our land,
you are our future
take pride in our land
for what we tell you now
will be brought in command.
little feet little hands remember who you are
little feet little hands don't let your persistence roam far.
