My Poems

I read so many poems of yours
And sense the pain you share
So willing to tell all of us
Your worries, doubts, fears, and cares

And it got me thinking of me
And what I could share with you
But I'm not as complicated
And really, that's the truth

I smile because I'm happy
I cry when I'm up or down
I laugh when I find it funny
I sing when no one's around

I'm not filled with too many fears
And there are few secrets I keep
I'm overall doing just fine
Nope, I just don't lose any sleep

I've got family and friends
Who are there for me all the time
My belief in the Bible and God
Help me any hill to climb

And sometimes I feel bad
Because I'm better off than most
I know this from reading your poems
And I'm not trying to boast

So instead I write my poetry
To share with all of you
About things and people I observe
Think about, or once knew

Sometimes they're about me
But most times they are not
Still they have deep meaning
Because, they are MY thoughts
