Lives That Are Lost

by Abigail   Sep 30, 2006

People come, People go.
It's a fact of life.
But we never expect that life
to be ours, or expect a knife
to come plunging into our hearts
because we never said the things
that we wanted to say.
The People we loved,
The People we cared about,
The People who never got to hear us shout
The Truth about how we felt,
only heard The Lies that dwelt
within our souls.
But now they are gone,
never to see, again, the earth's dawn.
But you don't even care.
If you cared then you would have been aware
of them and what they had to say.
But guess what they're gone today.
No thanks to you, who didn't even care,
but that's alright it was too much for you to bear.
I can't believe you didn't even tell them the truth,
Your heart turned black, evenly uncouth.
But they're gone now, there's nothing you can do
Why don't you get down and ask for my forgiveness,
But the lies you told are continuously endless.

These words are dedicated to the lives that are lost
that people take for grated and toss
The Thought of Them from their lives
so even the slightest inkling of them leaves their minds.
So next time you think talking to someone is a pain:
Stop. Cease. Desist. Secede. Abnegate. Abstain.
For you don't know when they could disappear.
Never to see them, hear them, touch them, or even talk to them
ever again.
