Earthbound

by pank   Sep 30, 2006

Oh, glorified Earthbound Angel
What wrongs have you done
To break your wings?
Your fall was seen by none,
Yet as sure as the Nightingale sings,
You're curled right in front of me,
Wings once magnificent, now broken and bloody.
As I gaze upon you, Fallen Angel,
I feel your pain,
Your agony so plain.
Because, as I look closer,
It's not you I see.
The earthbound angel is me.
