Mountain of Life.

by Vonnie McHugh   Oct 1, 2006

The years we had together some were quite nice,
But all the others I paid a price,
Your moods were very bad,
So sad when I think the life I had.

Some days it would be hard to bear,
Others I wanted you in my life to share,
Now I try and understand why,
What pleasure you got seeing me cry.

I now realize what had to be,
The day that you left me,
Now I can sit and smile,
My life is so much worthwhile.

My days are so carefree,
No longer you make me angry,
I think to myself sometimes,
The Mountain of life is hard to climb.

But in my heart I know so well,
I can bid my fears farewell,
Bright days ahead of me,
Time to set my heart free.
