Victim Of Victory

by Lady Nik   Oct 1, 2006

I sing with a smile on my face. I dance knowing the pain will soon leave. I laugh because I've won the war of death. It has not taken my last breathe, so I believed. I'm back in this hospital bed, sick again. Will it ever end? Shall my question be answered too late. I'm running out of time I can't wait. I can see the light, that you say walk away from. But why walk into the face of darkness. Isn't that death, or aloneness. Do you want me gone. Speak to me before I perish, like the Roman Empire. I set my soul afire, I beg of you not to leave me. I feel blind but I have no future to see.
