The castle walls looked down on me
As I, down on my knees, began to pled.
While the thoughts of grieving and loss of life
Danced in my head.
Sparkling tears glimmered in my eyes
As I was put on a table.
And here I was hoping my knight in shining armour
Would prevent me from being thrown into the stable.
Spreading my arms
I was bound for death.
Looking at the sky
As the rain drops bled.
People excited and people cheering.
I was the only one who was fearing
of being cut through the neck.
It was getting late and the sun was going down
And it wasn't until then that my knight upon his white horse
Rode in with a smile and no frown.
Nobody moved, everything just fell.
The horse trotted closer until finally it stopped
And everyone stared in disbelief
as my knight rang his bell.
Battles were lost and battles were won
My knight seemed to be the only one.
With his brave smile and beautiful face
He sliced off my chains and then he left without a trace.
I often think about him
My knight in shining armour.
And as the moon shines
All I can do is close my eyes and dream.
