My cousin called me just the other day
To tell me he was going over seas
He said that at first they were going to station him in Germany

To tell me he was going away
This time to Iraq. He said hopefully not Baghdad

To tell me that everything was OK
He said he's fine he's not in war but i could hear the pain in his voice

My cousin called me just the other day
To tell me that he was coming back our way
He told us his troop was coming home
I can't wait to see him back home
