A sailors broken heart

As my love story unfolds
i want you to know

i tried me best
but it wasn\'t enough

now i sit here confused mind,body & soul

from the moment i saw her
it was love at 1st sight

my soul mate at heart
was sealed with a vow

but then came bad news
this Sailor got orders
an we were apart

tho the distance was hard
i tried from afar

my love grew and it grew
an was felt in her heart

i would stay home
she would go out

i sent her three cards
she would ask to go out

by then the distance grew on us
but i never gave up

she was so negative
and wouldnt try to show her love

then it got worst
an she lost someone close

so i did what i had to
just to get home

i did my best
to keep her strong

but the times
were hard
trying to cope with her lost

her anger and mood swings
were growing on me

but my love was so strong
i looked past it all

i knew about her past
i knew about her flaws
i knew she was done wrong

but she promised
not to do me wrong

she shattered my heart
and stepped out on our love

she broke a promise
but even worse
some of our vows

i loved her so much
that i gave her a chance

but now i'm thrown in a loop
when she asked for a divorce

my best friend at heart
who i was faithful and thier for

didn't even put up a fight
or really tell me why

but the torture now is
she pretends not to care

and wont even be my friend
