I thought it was just another phone call
like the hundred one's before
but we got on the topic of beth
the girl you once adored.

You told me you once loved her
that i already knew,
the girl you were once crazy about
happen to stick with you.

I don't see why you went out with me
why you were still in love with her
You tampered with my heart
& caused my eyes to blur

I gave you my heart the second month we were together
& thought i had yours too.
But you told me you loved her until our 6 month
anniversary was due.

tears started filling my eyes
as my stomach became sore
I told you I was tired
& that I don't want to talk anymore

I didn't let you know anything was wrong
I just said I love you & goodbye
& then i fell apart
the tears i can't deny.

I know you love me now.
that, I will never second guess.
but you lied to me
your love for her at first- -
you would not confess.

Just finding this out 9 months down the road
will cause me to hurt so much more.
