My Favorite Bear

My favorite bear is nothing more than cloth and cotton.
I named it ABC because that’s what is stitched onto its pajamas.
It’s pajamas is made of light blue velvet with little booties.
So worn with love that it has patches where the velvet’s gone.
Now I cover it up with a small newborn’s shirt
To help preserve what’s left of the pajamas.
ABC has brown plastic eyes and a nose of pink thread.
Its fur is a light cream color with ears of pink.
It used to be quite plump but no longer.
Now it is slightly lopsided from all the hugging it’s endured.
My favorite bear has no gender since I forgot to decide on one.
ABC is simply an it and there’s no changing that.
