Love blazes a trail.
We go through hell.
But wasn't it heaven?
We were just seven.

Everything was new.
I was me; You were you.
Wasn't it all grand?
We could understand.

We age so fine.
I can see each line.
But where is the fire?
There is no umpire.

We all go up in flames.
So many, many names.
But where is the smoke?
It is all one big joke.

Then brightly we descend.
You were a good friend.
Do you still think of me?
The value of being free.
