Faries and Vixens

by Leslie   Oct 3, 2006

You're like a flower on a summer's eve
All you can do is deceive me
You promise laughter, a splash of color
Maybe sweet perfumes
But all you give me is bad news

You're still laughing in the shadows
When I wake up that same morning
But only a whisper of you is what's left
A chilled breeze
And all I have is a bad headache

You're cruel to the bone with rich promises.
Castles and kingdoms of lies pile ..
in your wake when you speak
Not white lies,
Lies so black they eat shadows.

You were like a flower on a summer's eve
All you can do is deceive me
You promised laughter, a splash of color
Maybe sweet perfumes
But all you've given me is bad news

That was an interesting poem. it was unique. there was no rythm and no rhyme scheme but still it fit together. nice. and about my poem, The Wicked, it is meant to be like that. that was very intentional and it was very hard to do. thanks. 5/5
