Memories of You

by Dying Soul   Oct 3, 2006

Sitting alone on a swing at the park
It's gliding slowly back and forth
Swinging in the shadow of the tall oak tree
Softly humming our favorite song

A soft breeze gently murmers in my ear
Taking me back to you
Bringing back thoughts of Love and HHappiness
For a moment, you are here with me.

I hear the sweetness of your voice
Your laughter rings clearly in my mind
Our first kiss, underneath that tall oak tree
The memories make me tremble

The wind whips about my face
It's suddenly cold and dark
I shiver as I see shadows of us
That time that we danced in the rain

I shiver again,
Seeing the day that you left
The hurt was deep- the very depth of my soul
I see myself running. Fast and hard.

You didn't care
Was she worth it?
All I'm left with are memories of you
Now I'm Dancing and Weeping alone in the rain.
