The leaves are now yellow
Change is in the air
I however have already transformed
Many leaves from my sturdy trunk have fallen

The clouds lie in the sky, fluffy and white
They are mashed potatoes, like the ones you spent so much time on
The ones that made us late to class
That was our last day
I have been changed

The night sky such a pure deep ebony
Like a cozy basement that you can sleep all day in.
Bundled under an abundance of comfort
Only to wake to the smell of sizzling bacon
I feel you next to me

The North Star leads the world
Much as we lead our hockey team
Side by side
Captain by captain
Love by love
I will remember

We sleep cuddled all in one bed
Like one little constellation in a galaxy filled with stars
Don't leave

Rain drops start to fall
They are tears
Tears of the world
Tears of my heart
Stay with me

A puddle on the floor is a gift from the rain
Don't step in it anymore

The air is cold now
Much like my life
