Fake Smiles and Stupid Lies.

by Miss Megan   Oct 3, 2006

I can't stand this faking,
I don't know how much longer I can pretend.
This beauty that I'm breaking,
Will never hold happiness again.
So don't tell me to be,
Anything other than me.

Chorus:
If I fall on my face,
Will you dig my grave?
If I believe another lie,
Will you bury me deep inside?
I knew this would get harder,
But no one will see me break.
Do you see through my excuses?
I know you know; these smiles are fake.

No one hears me scream,
No one sees my tears.
I won't let you know the truth,
You will never know my fears.
So paint my eyes in midnight black,
And when I hurt; watch and laugh.

Put me six feet under,
Leave only wilted roses behind.
Say a prayer that no one will hear,
Carve a headstone; one I'll call mine. [x2]

Chorus:
If I fall on my face,
Will you dig my grave?
If I believe another lie,
Will you bury me deep inside?
If I fall on my face,
Will you dig my grave?
If I believe another lie,
Will you bury me deep inside?
I knew this would get harder,
But no one will see me break.
Do you see through my excuses?
I know you know; these smiles are fake

Laugh as you watch me break,
All my smiles are fake. [fade out]
