In Love With A Stranger

by The Queen of Spades   Oct 3, 2006

A stranger, you will always be
But a lover in my heart
And every moment I cannot see you
I am slowly torn apart

In just one moment I fell in love
When I thought I could no longer feel
Then suddenly the grass grew greener
And the earth became more real

Your eyes, how they captivated
Sweet smile that swallowed me whole
A voice that made me warm inside
With laughter heating my soul

But what once was so amazing
Has turned an ashy grey
Suddenly I am wondering what is left
What more is there to say

I think of your face, lost in time
And my stomach starts to churn
My heart is hurt, sore, and bruised
Will you ever return?
