You promised so many things
what happened
all my life you made promises
none came true
what did i do to make you hate me so
to hurt me with unkempt promises
crying myself to sleep each night
where where you on my first day of school
my last day of secondary
you promised me
you'd be there
i searched the sea of faces
every face was there except yours
you slip me notes
to keep me sweet
they mean nothing
all i wanted
was your love
your time
it's to late now
you're gone
all those promises died along with you
not one came true
