Widow's Black Dress

by No Need For A Name   Oct 4, 2006

Oh, look at that pretty girl
With the punk rock attitude
And a shaken world
She has on her black dress
To remove her past
She tries the best
She hates her mom, she hates her dad
Cause they both act like the bottles
All they ever had

Look, she can smile
Although those beatings
Kept her closed for awhile
I'm guessing she's remembering
Her plans of escape
While their slumbering

(Chorus)
She sits alone in her black dress
Empty room is such a mess
No room breath, no room to move
The blood stains aren't completely removed
But Widow's black dress never looked so good
Widow's black dress never looked so good

Oh, she's going out tonight
She's gonna do up her hair
She's gonna do it alright
That black dress it looks so good
With the tears wiped off
And the blood removed
Ignore that bruise on her eye
She's away from her piss-drunk dad
And that angry guy
She hopes to have some fun
Before she packs her bags
And runs

(Chorus)
She sits alone in her black dress
Empty room is such a mess
No room breath, no room to move
The blood stains aren't completely removed
But Widow's black dress never looked so good
Widow's black dress never looked so good

I guess she found a way unknown
Out of that hell she called home
That black dress is still on her
As a new live she enters

(Chorus)
She sits alone in her black dress
Empty room is such a mess
No room breath, no room to move
The blood stains aren't completely removed
But Widow's black dress never looked so good
Widow's black dress never looked so good
