I Thought You Were True...

I have to say I thought you were true,
I thought our friendship meant something to you.
It dosn\'t seem like the same,
and it seems like your living life just trying to play this game.
It hurts to know my best friend has changed but it hurts worse knowing it isn\'t for the best,
sometimes I think it\'s just God trying to put me up for a test.
You were my best friend don\'t get me wrong,
gah remember when we use to talk on tha phone?
I have been there for you no matter what,
and in my eyes there arn\'t any if,ands,or buts.
You\'ve found someone you love and thats great,
but you put our friendship off just for some date.
Never once have I put you off or betrayed you,
but I guess things come clear after a while and now I see your point too.
But no matter what we were suppose to be there for one another,
just like any sister or brother.
Yea I know your in love,
but I thought our friendship was sent from God above.
You were always there and in the past 3 months you have gotten bad,
and you might not see it but in my eyes it\'s just sad.
I know I have my faults and I\'m not all innocent but I know my friends,
and I know that we use to be the best of the best and sing those crazy songs to tha bands.
I\'m not blaming your boyfriend or you getting your car,
because you chose for us to fall apart this far.
No guy or any car should of came between us,
and in my eyes I never thought this would happen,
but I guess thats just part of growing up.
