Envy

by Stacey   Oct 4, 2006

You look at her,
you look at me,
can't you tell we are as different as can be
sure we may look alike but we are not the same
she outgoing, funny and smart
and im shy, boring and stupid
we are opposites
people always talking about her
shes so funny,
oh i love her,
but does anyone say that about me?
nobody knows me
nobody can see
how much it hurts inside
to hear such wonderful things about her and nothing about me
everyday i think
what can i do to be more like her
but everyday i fail
trying is like scratching your nail
againest a chalkboard
its annoying and pointless
but still i waste my time trying to be just like her

A nice poem. To be ourselves is all that we can do. To never let other people who may at first seem to have things better, let them change yourself, is giving up on yourself. Never give up. Peace.
