My best friend, made of cotton.

by DeathsLove   Oct 5, 2006

You're just fabric and cotton,
with a few carefully done stitches.
You're outfits small and to scale,
to be like the real thing.

Black and golden button eyes
that will never be filled with emotions,
though sometimes that may seem different.

You can not think or walk,
you can't even talk.
You are merely a teddy bear,
a materialized thing.

Hundreds of clones are held,
across the world by different people.

Yet, for being merely cotton,
how come you are the only one I trust so deeply?
You may be just a teddy bear,
something only 'babies' need.

But to me,
you are my best friend.

Always there for me,
when I need you.
Always waiting,
in the same place I last left you.
Always there to cuddle.
You never leave me,
you're always there to listen.

My best friend will never hurt me.

My best friend will always hold my secrets safe.

Tease me, if you want.
Call me childish, or a baby.
But you know deep down inside you secretly wish you had a best friend like mine.

My best friend may be made of cotton.
But your best friend won't always be true.
