To constantly have to fight?
To constantly have to voice?
To constantly have no choice?
You don't know what it's like
Or the demons I have to fight
Were you told at age thirteen you were going to die,
If you told anyone what had happened that awful night?
Were you told your family would get murdered one by one
Till finally your family was gone, he left not one
Did you live in fear?
For close to a year?
You don't know what it's like
Or the memories I have to fight
Were you the five year old that got beat?
Beat until your body was bruised and throbbed with heat?
Were you lied to for years that what you remembered never happened?
Were you recently strangled and choked till you couldn't breath?
And you try to start shit with me?
Were you screamed at everyday?
When things didn't go your mothers way?
Do you know what it's like?
For my life i have to fight
To have nobody want you
To show that I'm different i have to prove
Were you abandoned at age fourteen?
To have nowhere to go, do you know what that means?
Fighting depression for years on end
Scared that a suicidal thought would find it's way in my head again
Scared that i might try to die
And leave people asking why
Scared i might do it again
Because i have no one to come and take my hand
You think i confide in people these days?
You'll have a better chance at completing a human maze
Do you know what it's like?
And all the thoughts i have to fight
Did you watch your friends slowly disappear
Until their true self isn't all here
Let me ask once more...
