Having watched it whither
wallow and slowly die
now beating again
not so sure why
the pain fades
and the sun shines again
opening my eyes
i can remember when
there was no hurt
but that went away
crashing violently
that horrible day
breathing now
learning to live
knowing once more
that i can still give
the love inside
that warms and heels
careful am i
i know how it feels
to be tossed aside
left cold and weak
to live a lie
and forever seek
this feeling. again.
