The Riverbank

by Dying Soul   Oct 5, 2006

Water rushing by me
Wind whipping at my face and hair
The sound of cars, a faint murmur

Birds are chirping
Squirrels are chattering
I pull my jacket tighter around me

Water splashing
As fish move about
Seagulls watching for fish to catch

My hair is blowing into my face
I am alone
I am at peace
