He Said He Lied

He said we would always be together. That I was always in his heart. No matter how far apart we were, he said he would always love me. So tell me why am I crying?

I reminisce on times past. Oh how they went t by so fast. And as I think of his smile I smile. But now my smile is missing and I have nothing. I have nothing.

He said he would never leave me. But I am alone today. He said he would never deceive me. But I have been lead astray. He said he would never hide the truth from me. So why am I lost?

He said he would always be here when I needed him. I need him, but he is nowhere to be found. He said I was the most important thing in his life. He said a lot of things but they were all lies.
