Insanity

Can you be on the verge of insanity
But never quite cross the border
Tip toe along it's crazy edge
But never feel it's disorder

I believe we all dance that line
Between being okay and not
We never make sense of it all
Because in the middle we're caught

Are we all jekyll and hydes
I shudder at thinking those things
From evil to good do we switch
No matter what it may bring

No, I think there's more restraint
A power we have and possess
That allows us to stop doing bad
And give the good some success

Whether we choose to control it
Or grant insanity free reign
Is up to our own discretion
But most in the middle remain
