Broken words

by Lynn Anderson   Oct 6, 2006

You see how I feel, then you'll feel whats real.
Dive into my mind, and see who you've left behind.
Not to torture myself, ever.
It is just the meaning of your self discovery.
That you feel the need, to criticize me.
I try hard to remember your face.
To ever wonder why you deserted me here in the first place.
Believing from the beginning that I would see you again.
Only for me to recognize that this is now the end.
Of the pain I've shared without you.
The feeling of being blue.
To be broken down and departed from my unspoken words.
That now mean I love you.

The dull pain can linger long after the wound has healed.
