So is this?

by Megann Lee   Oct 6, 2006

So is this the way we are going to leave things?
Beautifully broken, with shards of shattered hope.
Locked away forbidden memories of unfaithful trust.
Dried eyes free from anymore hurtful tears willing to be shed.

You said you held the whole world within your hand.
Careful not to drop it, letting your grip be gentle.
Your over precautions breaking from your insane mind.
You let the world fall; shatter within distant memoric pieces.

Left to sweep up the rising death toll I can only be me.
Distant smiles of hidden frowns that wish to break away.
To let go just to show the true emotions behind the fake girl.
You where just being the hypocrite everyone wants from you.

So is this the way we are going to leave things?
Truth being spoken is against the law now-a-days.
Smiles will surely place you within a death sentence.
Broken hearts, tearful eyes are just a part of the daily routines.
