Unbreakable Love Triangle

The day I first saw you,
No, it wasn't love,
But I knew it was all gonna change,
Thanks to the angels above,

We talked, I flirted, you smiled,
Everything was so right,
Till you confided your secret in me,
I couldn't stop crying that night.

You told me you loved her,
my best friend,
Fake smiles were my specialty,
At least till my heart could mend,

So this was the way things were,
I loved you, you loved her,
I had no idea what was in store;
the wondrous things that could occur,

It turned out she loved you too,
It was great to see you grin,
and smile and laugh and spin her around,
while my pain grew from within,

Then one day she comes up to me,
She looks into my eyes,
"I know you love him" she says,
Of course it was a surprise.

She said she was sorry,
but she wouldn't change a thing,
She said their love was special,
and happiness it would bring,
