Because Of Him

Once upon a time
There was a lonesome little girl
She was very introverted
And writing was her world

She was just an innocent girl
Who lived a lonely life
She wrote in her journal
About her pain and strife

She fell in love
With an unexpected boy
But all he did
Was treat her like a toy

He messed with her emotions
He played with her heart
He got up her hopes
Then tore them apart

She hated her life
She was scared to death
She just wanted to take
Her very last breath

Her emotions were mixed
Mostly with hate
She thought to herself
"No, this couldn't be fate."

She refused to give up
She had to hold on tight
She had to continue
To put up with this fight

Her heart refused to mend
It was shattered into bits
She couldn't reassemble them
Now she simply wants to quit.

When he broke her heart
He was not thinking
About what he had done
Her heart was now sinking
Look what she's become

The pain was never ending
That lies within her heart
She knew it wouldn't work
She knew it from the start

But these feelings remain
They won't go away
She pushes them out
But they're here to stay

She was filled with depression
This innocent little girl. .
Along came a boy
And changed her whole world

Her sweet angelic face
Her beautiful little smile
Now became a frown
That wasn't worthwhile

Her happy cheery self
Her caring personality
Now became depressing
Without a possibility

Her optimistic ways
Her happy-go-lucky attitude
Now she's pessimistic
And never in the mood

She lost her dreams
Gave up her hopes
Freed her wishes
And tried to cope

She cried herself to sleep
Every single night
She began to feel weak
Like she's losing this fight

"He'll never know,"
She thought to herself
"The pain he put me through
Or the way that I had felt"

One day he saw her
Crying in the hallway
He asked her what was wrong
But she pushed him away

Rumors began to spread
He was clueless as can be
He asked around for answers
For any possibilities

No one had a clue
No one knew why
This innocent girl
Would want to cry

Finally she broke down
And told him the truth
She told him all the pain
He's been putting her through

Right after she was done
She quickly ran away
Leaving him speechless
With nothing left to say

Thoughts raced through his mind
Wondering what had happened
He never intended to hurt her
When he made it all end

He couldn't figure it out
But there was nothing he could do
All he could think of
Was to try and help her through

On that very day
He learned something new
Something he'd never forget
Because this is so true

He realized he had a big impact on her
A bigger impact than what he thought
He kept in mind and was careful always
This lesson he'd been taught

my heart is still shattered til this very day.. but i still love him with every piece.. even if he doesnt love me back.. =[
