Daddy, where are you?
I don't want to play this game anymore
I've checked outside the windows
I've checked behind the door

I don't know why they took you
Or why you won't come back
But, everyday I look for you
And I follow every track

Why is it you won't wake up
From this year-long sleep
Where ever you are,
In my heart, I'll always keep

I cry tears of anger
As my fist strikes the wall
Daddy, what happened to you?
Why did your life fall?

Now, I'm angry at you
You should've been here with me
You should've watched me grow
You should've been able to see

See my life blossom
And watch it fall apart
But, then you were taken
As was a piece of my heart

Why am I trapped here
In this prison of sorrow
I just don't understand
Will I be set free tomorrow

Will you knock on the door?
Will you greet me with a hug?
Will you drink your coffee every morning
In that one special mug?

Why am I cursed
With this life so cruel?
Why do I wish these things
Am I just a fool?

You're not coming back
And I won't wake up from this dream
Where did they take you?
It just doesnt seem

Everyone here misses you
Especially your daughter
And every day, she must refrain herself
From committing horrible slaughter

What is life, anyway?
A curse or illusion?
It's all so complicated
And puts me in confusion

How much longer can I live
Before I'm with you at last?
Why am I in this play?
Why am I in this cast?

But, now I still dream
And I ask you by your bed
"Daddy, why won't you wake up?"
The answer is, "I'm dead..."
