Forever Yearning

by Mistress   Oct 8, 2006

On a cool autumn night,
Under the full moon so bright,
We sit beneath the old weeping willow tree.
I gaze into your eyes
Hoping to read what lies behind them.
I know you want me
As I want you.
Just touch me,
Smell me, inhale me.
Just kiss me,
Embrace me.
Must I make the first move?
Your eyes twinkle as the moonlight's
ray brightens.
Just touch me
I scream from inside.
Just smell me, inhale me.
Kiss me, hold me.
Can't you hear my pleas?
You're so handsome sitting there
under the weeping willow.
I must have you,
I must make the first move.
Why do you just sit there,
taunting me?
Just reach out and touch me,
Just smell me, inhale.
Kiss me, embrace me.
From under the old weeping willow tree,
I will not make the first move,
I will not touch you,
Smell you, inhale you.
I will not kiss you, embrace you.
I will forever Yearn for you.

Thank you for your helpful comment Gary. This was my first posting and posted it in haste. I did some editing and hope it reads more flowingly. I am glad you enjoyed it.

I love this-but it is more in prose style than poetic.I feel it can be broken into stanzas but yet feel just as strongly it is perfect as it is.But really, I think stanzas would make it stronger.Regardless it has a beautiful flow and pure ambience about it.Great piece

    Peace, Poetry, & Power,
