I hope and I pray

I'm leaning against your chest,
The feeling that I have right now, is the best.

I can hear you heart beat: bump, bump, bump,
While mine goes 10X faster: thinmp,thump, thump

The sound is music to my ears,
But the music is music only i can hear.

Someone calls your name and you start to pull away,
I pull you closer, making you stay.

You look down at me and smile,
Then I look up at you, grasping that feeling for all the while.

Then I lean my head back against you
Feeling that best feeling through and through
Hoping with all my heart that your feeling the same way too.

My Mom has tried to rip that feeling away
But it will always stay
And it will be back another day
I hope and I pray.
